Application Process
Step 1: Collect Admission Form
- Admission forms are available at the school office OR can be downloaded.
- Fill in all sections clearly and attach required documents.
Step 2: Submit Application
Submit the completed form with the following:
- Copy of birth certificate
- 2 recent passport photos
- Latest report card/transfer letter
- Medical form (for boarding pupils)
Step 3: Entrance Assessment
- Applicants sit for a short interview/assessment test.
- An interview fee of TZS 20,000 is payable on the day of the interview.
- Results are released the same day.
Step 4: Admission Confirmation
- Upon acceptance, parents must:
- Pay the registration fee
- Collect the boarding/day scholars’ requirements list
Pay for school uniforms directly at the school (uniforms are issued on-site)
Step 5: Reporting to School
- New pupils report on the official opening day with all requirements.
- Boarding pupils must present their medical form and personal effects.

Admission Requirements
Pre-Primary Admission Requirements
Children must be aged 3-5 years and demonstrate readiness for a structured learning environment. A birth certificate and health records are required.
Standard 1 -7 Admission Requirements
Applicants should be 6 years old by the start of the school year. Required documents include a birth certificate and previous school reports.
General for All Admissions
- Completed admission form (available at the school office).
- Commitment to school rules, discipline, and participation in academics & co-curricular activities.
- Payment of admission and school fees as per fee structure.

Scholarships and Sponsorships
At Upendo Friends School, we understand that some bright and talented pupils may face financial challenges. To ensure that every child has a chance to learn, we provide Need-Based Sponsorships for a limited number of pupils each year.
Who Qualifies?
- Pupils from financially disadvantaged families (orphans, pupils with disability and families with proven financial hardship.
- Must show commitment to learning and maintain good discipline at school.
- Must achieve and sustain reasonable academic performance throughout their sponsorship.
Application Process
- Collect the Sponsorship Application Form from the school office.
- Submit the form with all required documents.
- The school administration will review and, if necessary, conduct a home visit/verification.
- Applicants will be informed of the outcome within one week.
Application Requirements
Parents/Guardians must submit:
- Completed Sponsorship Application Form (available at the school office).
- Copy of the pupil’s birth certificate.
- Latest school report card.
- Recommendation letter from a local leader, pastor, or community elder confirming the family’s situation.
- Any additional proof of financial need.
Note:
Sponsorship opportunities are limited and depend on availability of funds/donors. Sponsored pupils must remain disciplined and hardworking to keep their place.
